Alumna Founds Kasanka Baboon Project in Zambia

Anna Weyher, '97, is the Principal Investigator and founder of the Kasanka Baboon Project and currently the only scientist conducting research on the Kinda baboons in Kasanka National Park. Anna is working on her PhD in Anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis. For her doctoral dissertation, Anna is studying the Kinda baboon (Papio cynocephalus kindae) in Zambia, specifically focusing on social behavior, adult male-female, female-female, and male-male relationships. After her fieldwork in Kasanka National Park, Anna will conduct laboratory work at New York University. Visit the project website to learn more:
