Jij (pronounced "jay") de Jesus joined Rowland Hall as Lower School Principal in 2015. He and his family moved to the Salt Lake City area from San Francisco, where Jij worked at Town School for Boys for nine years. In his time at Town, Jij progressed from intern teacher to 4th grade head teacher to serving in leadership roles in the areas of diversity and inclusion, sustainability, STEM and innovative curriculum design, and faculty evaluation and professional growth. Jij graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Environmental Science and earned his M.Ed in Private School Leadership from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He enjoys traveling, cooking, and outdoor adventuring, and looks forward to exploring the incredible landscape of Utah with his family.
