Kathy began her tenure at Rowland Hall in 2001. She earned a bachelor of arts in economics with a minor in American studies from Brown University and later completed graduate coursework in American history and architecture at the University of Vermont. She played collegiate lacrosse and competed in gymnastics for 10 years. With deep New England roots, Kathy spent 20 years in Vermont, teaching history and humanities at Burke Mountain Academy, while serving for a number of those years as director of studies and college counseling. She has been a member of the Inclusion and Equity Committee for many years. Kathy and her husband, Finn, have raised two young men, Lars and Nick, and an energetic dog, Koda, who keeps them heading for the mountains where they love to hike, bike, ski, and snowshoe.
