Jeremy Innis joined the Rowland Hall faculty as a music teacher in 2013. He teaches in and oversees the choral and string programs at the middle and upper schools. Jeremy studied vocal music and composition at Lewis and Clark College, where he also began his study of religion on a program in India. Jeremy has studied and trained in a variety of contemplative traditions, which led him to Harvard Divinity School where he studied comparative religion and the arts. After three years of serving as interim chaplain, Jeremy became the official chaplain of Rowland Hall’s Lincoln Street Campus in 2017. As chaplain, Jeremy is committed to fostering religious literacy through the study of world religions, and to providing a variety of experiences for student spiritual growth and mindfulness in Rowland Hall’s interfaith chapel program. When not absorbed in a philosophy or science-fiction book, Jeremy enjoys playing obscure board games and road tripping with his wife, Anne, and their three children.
